The entry for this church in Svenska Kyrkan [https://www.svenskakyrkan.se/borlange/torsangs-kyrka] [accessed 13 April 2026] reports that the lower base of the baptismal font was made of Gotland limestone in the early-13th century, while the rest, stem and basin, is a turned wooden part from 1715 that supports the 1920s brass baptismal basin: "Dopfuntens fot är av gotländsk kalksten från tidigt 1200-tal. Ovanpå den är en svarvad trädel från 1715 och i denna en mässingsskål från 1920-talet." The entry for this church in the Swedish Wikipedia [https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torsångs_kyrka] [accessed 13 April 2026] simply mentions a baptismal font of the 13th century in it: "Dopfunten är ursprungligen från 1200-talet". A number of undated B&W photographs in the Kulturmiljöbild, Riksantikvarieämbetet [cf. ImagesArea] identify two related objects: a badly-damaged octagonal basin of stone and the wooden stem of the base od a baptismal font. The type of basin could match the expected design for a 13th-century Gotland font, in which case it might belong to the lower base now supporting the present wooden font of 1715. The wooden stem in the Kulturmiljöbild, Riksantikvarieämbetet, however, matches neither the Gotland font nor the 18th-century one.
