Font Notes:
Baptismal font listed and illustrated in Danmarks Kirker [https://nmdanmarkskirkerprod.blob.core.windows.net/files/Sjyll_2384-2399.pdf] [accessed 4 April 2026] as Romanesque in style but probably dating from the date of the church itself: "Døbefont (fig. The entry for this church in Danskerner Historie Online [https://slaegtsbibliotek.dk/929631.pdf] [accessed 4 April 2026] includes the full text of KEGNÆS 1615-1965 TRÆK AF KEGNÆS SOGNS HISTORIE (DY-PO TRYK, Sønderborg, 1965), in which the font is identified as being originally from Sct.
mationen forsvundne Sct. Nikolaj Kirke i Sønderborg [...]
The entry for this church in VisitDenmark [https://www.visitdenmark.nl/denemarken/reis-plannen/kegnaes-kirke-gdk611497] [accessed 4 April 2026] informs that the altarpiece of about 1450 in this church was formerly, like the font and the pulpit, in the now vanished church of St. Nicolaj in Sønderborg [cf. supra]. The entry in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kegnæs_Kirke] [accessed 4 April 2026], however, describes the font as Romanesque in style but dating from the date of the church itself (i.e., 1615) [cf. DK entry above]: "Das steinerne Taufbecken ist dem Stil nach romanisch, stammt aber möglicherweise erst aus der Erbauungszeit der Kirche."
