The entry for this church in the Danish Wikipedia [https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sønderborg_Slotskapel] [accessed 3 April 2026] reports a baptismal font made by Cornelis Floris of Antwerp in 1557{ "Den udsmykkede døbefont fra 1557 er udført af billedhuggeren Cornelis Floris fra samme by."
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 31 March 2026) informs: "Sønderborg Slotskirke.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sønderborg_Castle -- Sønderborg Castle Church contains a remarkable baptismal font from 1550-1560, created by the famous Antwerp artists Frans and Cornelis Floris as part of Queen Dorothea's interior design of the chapel. The unique chapel of Sønderborg Castle, also known as Queen Dorothea's Chapel (Dronning Dorotheas Kapel) was built 1568-70 by Hercules von Oberberg for Queen Mother Dorothea reflects the changing times in Denmark after the Reformation. It is almost untouched, and is considered to be one of Europe's oldest and best-preserved Lutheran royal chapels. Many of the items in the chapel were created in Antwerp workshop of painter Frans Floris (1517–1570). Below the organ stands the magnificent baptismal font. The font is of Russian marble, it is carried by the four Evangelists, carved in alabaster. On the lid are the Danish and Saxon coats of arms, also carved in alabaster and covered with paint. Four alabaster figures, which were placed on the lid, have disappeared."
