Font Notes:
The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stiftskirche_St._Marien_(Obernkirchen)] [accessed 22 March 2026} reports that the pulpit and baptismal font date from the Baroque period: "Kanzel und Taufbecken stammen aus der Barockzeit."
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 13 February 2026) includesd a text by Jürgen Giszas, 19. Dezember 2022 which describes the font as a very important post-Reformation work probably made ca. 1608 by Hildesheim artists Künstler Ebbert and Hans Wolff. It once had a wooden font cover [cf. ImagesArea] but it is now lost.
