A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 29 January 2026) by Pol Herman informs: "Becco, église Saint-Eloi. Becho, Bekor. In the church, column bases and capitals from the 16th century are preserved. On a map from 1610, an oratory is indicated in Becco, but no written document attests to its existence. 1711: Construction of a new chapel begins. It will be built in several stages. From the moment Becco had its chapel (1714), it was placed under the patronage of Saint Eligius. This choice was certainly due to the presence of ironworkers in the village (particularly nail makers), as forges were numerous in the region until the 18th century. Consecrated in 1730. 1803: The parish of Becco is founded under the French regime, following the Concordat concluded between First Consul Bonaparte and Pope Pius VII. It has the status of a branch of the parish of La Reid. In 1819, the old chancel is demolished and a new one is built with two side chapels. A tower was added in 1830. Between 1860 and 1863, the church and tower were rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style. In 1879, the tower was heightened and topped with a spire. Bishop Doutreloux of Liège consecrated the new altar in July 1886. 2003: The old tympanum, which had been placed in the presbytery garden, was reinstalled along the church wall. KIK-IRPA : 16th century. The profiles cover the whole basin, which would indicate a late date. Pictures by Les Murs de Pierre.
