Font Notes:
Baptismal font listed in Zimmermann (1954) as part of the "Rheinische Gruppe" made of basalt in the Romanesque style; 100 cm tall. Only decorative motifs are a roll moulding on the upper base and the four stops on the corners of the square lower base. Partly painted.
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 25 January 2026) informs:"13th c. basalt font of the “Rheinische Gruppe”, as defined by Zimmermann [...] https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Gertrud_(Barweiler)" and gives the reference in Zimmermann.
