A baptismal font made of Baumberg sandstone, originally 12th-century but modified in 1732 is reported in the Museum Alte Kirche Reken site [https://www.st-heinrich-reken.de/kontakt-einrichtungen/sehenswuerdigkeiten/museum-alte-kirche-reken/] [accessed 16 February 2026]: "Taufstein, Baumberger Sandstein aus drei Teilen, Unterteil um 1200, Oberteil 1732". The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Simon_und_Judas_(Reken)] [accessed 16 February 2026] reports a Romanesque baptismal font the upper part of which basin was modified in 1732: "Romanischer Taufstein, dessen oberer Abschnitt im Jahr 1732 barock umgeformt".
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 25 January 2026) informs: "The baptismal font is said to be 13th century. The base is still original. The basin has been modified in 1732. After the church became a museum in 1969, an oval glass plate was put on top of the font, and the font was displayed as an altar. In August 2022, the museum church was officially re-opened for church services. A new wooden altar was installed, and the font moved back to the baptismal chapel. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECGkAXKI8ec for the consecration of the new altar.

Der Taufbrunnen wurde vom hinteren Teil der Kirche nach vorne gestellt und mit einer Glasplatte versehen. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Simon_und_Judas_(Reken)"
