Baptismal font noted and illustrated in Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/groups/romanicodelnorte/posts/10163442428329801/] [accessed 1 February 2026] by Amo a mi pueblo and Pedro A. Lozano Huerta, as being of a Romanesque type, and probably originally from a rural church dedicated to San Emeterio in the nearby village of Villabáscones de San Medel: "La pila es de piscina, de tipología románica, avenerada por dentro y lisa por fuera, con borde y base moldurados, me supongo que de la anterior ermita dedicada a San Emeterio en el pueblo de Villabáscones de San Medel (derivación del nombre Emeterio) La forma abreviada "Samedel" también fue utilizada en diferentes períodos. Finalmente, la denominación se consolidó como San Medel, que es el que se utiliza en la actualidad."
