There is an entry for Horncastle [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF2569/horncastle/] [accessed 30 January 2026] but it mentions neither priest nor church in it. The present font in this church is modern, probably 19th-century. We have no information on the font of the medieval church here.
