The entry for Puente Arenas in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/burgos_PUENTE-ARENAS.pdf] [accessed 26 January 2026] mentions no font in either of the two churches listed; the church of Santa Maria itself is said to date to the 12th-13th century period. The present font in this chuch consists of a plain hemispherical basin raised on a moulded circular pedestal base. There is also a stone cup-shaped holy-water stoup inside the church; age unknown
