Baptismal font listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10005474] [accessed 8 January 2025]: "fonts baptismaux [...] Date: 1551 - 1600 [...] hauteur: 104 cm".
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 8 January 2025) informs: "Marche-le-Scovelette, Marche-le-Schovelette, Marche l’Ecouvette, Marcedonmartin, Mardechovel. A hoard, discovered in 1900 in Marchovelette, consisted of 830 Roman coins dated between 294 and 297. In 1046, Bishop Wazon, through Count Gozelon, gave the church of Marchovelette (Marcha) to the collegiate church of Saint Bartholomew in Liège. Ecclesia media. The place of worship is located near the former castle and may originally have been a private church (eigenkirche). Rebuilt between 1762 and 1767 on the site of the previous church. Octagonal Mosan baptismal font with four corner heads. The design of the basin and heads hint to a renaissance font of the middle of the 16th century. Unusual incision on the basin : a dagger? Standing on a single-pedestaled Romanesque base from the 12th/13th century. The Romanesque shaft was adapted to fit the base of the more recent basin."
