The 16th-century baptismal font of the Hainaut type/style and its 19th-century brass cover are listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10064783] and [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10064784] respectively [accessed 6 December 2025]: "fonts baptismaux [...] pierre [...] Date: 1501 - 1600 [...] gothique [...] hauteur: 119 cm". The font consists of a basin raised on a pedestal base, both octagonal and decorated with mouldings. The cover: "couvercle de fonts baptismaux [...] laiton [...] Date: 1891 - 1900 [...] hauteur: 83 cm".
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 5 December 2025) informs that the baptismal records for this church cover from 1594 onwards, and that it has a 16th century limestone baptismal font in Hainaut-style. It further notes that the "The old church, which was said to be quite remarkable, was demolished in 1840. The present neo-classical church built in 1840 is in a dilapidated state and will soon be demolished because the diocese and the civil authorities do not want to spend 1 million euros for the repair."
