Font Notes:
The entry for this church in the Dutch Wikipedia [https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heilig-Kruiskerk_(Guvelingen)] [accessed 5 December 2025] mentions a partially Romanesque holy-water stoup originally from the Abbey of Sint-Truiden: "een deels Romaans wijwatervat, afkomstig van de Abdij van Sint-Truiden". This is the wall-mounted stoup listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/79167] [accessed 5 December 2025] as a former 12thC capital from the Sint-Truiden Abbey re-purposed as holy-water stoup: "kapiteel (gebruikt als wijwatervat) [...] Provenance: Abdij Sint-Trudo[Sint-Truiden] [...] steen [...] Romans [...] Date: 1101 (onzeker) - 1200 (onzeker)". Noted in the Onroerend Erfgoed entry for this church: "Wijwatervat in romaans kapiteel, afkomstig van de abdijkerk van Sint-Truiden."
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 4 December 2025) provides historical background on this church and sources for the provenance of the 12th-century holy-water stoup, and adds: "Baptism registers exist from 1627 onwards. No trace of the baptismal font."
Credit and Acknowledgements: We are grateful to Pol Herman for bringing this stoup to our attention anf for his help documenting it
