Font Notes:
Baptismal font noted and illustrated in Pedro Lozano Huerta [https://www.facebook.com/groups/LaMagiadelasPiedras/posts/25027698203554557/] [accessed 4 December 2025], who mentions that Emiliano Nebreda had dated it as Romanesque, but the font, though hard to date, is of a later period; Lozano Huerta points out the through crack and advises that the font be repaired before it collapses totally: "Iglesia de San Martín Obispo- Campino de Bricia- Burgos- Pila Bautismal: "Pila monolítica. Baptismal font of stone consisting of a roughly-hemispherical basin raised on a round-to-dquare pedestal base decorated with two flat mouldings; the font has a thin crack through all the way down to the base [cf. supra]; the square lower end of the base is semi-buried in the flooring. The wooden cover is round, flat and plain; modern. The church has also a stone holy-water stoup worth mentioning: it consists of a bucket-shaped basin decorated with a broad roll moulding at the upper rim, a shallow band of saw-tooth below and a few concave ribs, also very shallow below; broad moulding at the bottom of the basin; on a cylindrical pedestal base moulded at both ends; the stoup appears to be partly embedded in the wall behind.
