Scene Description: "De kapel werd opgebouwd in 1705. De oorsprong moet gezocht worden in het vervullen van een gelofte gedaan in een moeilijke tijd. Cholera en pest teisterden deze streken en om deze kwalen af te weren werden her en der kapellen opgericht. De kapel werd toegewijd aan O.L.Vrouw ter Sneeuw en Sint Lucia. De kapel werd in 1713 door brand verwoest. Nog in datzelfde jaar werd ze opnieuw opgebouwd. In 1940 werd de kapel opnieuw door brand verwoest, maar tijdens de oorlogsjaren werd de kapel opnieuw hersteld."

Baptismal font with a 17th-century basin and a brass font cover of the 19th century listed in the Onroerend Erfgoed entry for this church [https://inventaris.onroerenderfgoed.be/erfgoedobjecten/75469] [accessd 3 December 2025]: "Doopvont met marmeren kuip, tweede helft van de 17de eeuw en deksel van messing, 19de eeuw." Listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/36709] [accessed 3 December 2025], which specifies the stem and base are 19th-century: "doopvont [...] marmer, messing [...] Date: 1651 - 1700 [...] hoogte: 135 cm [...] voet en stam 1801-1900".
A communication to BSI from Pol herman (e-mail of 2 December 2025) provides historical information on the church of Arendonk and adds: "In a church inspection of 1509 the parishioners are demanded to properly maintain the baptismal font. Baptismal registers start in 1611. The present baptismal font [cf. supra] dates from the second half of the 17th century and originates from the old parish church, but until recently it was housed in the chapel of the Wampenberg."
