In 1835, the churchwardenship purchased "a black marble baptismal font, 2.5 feet in diameter, with its pedestal, skillfully crafted and polished" for 184 francs from stonemason and marbler Frans Van Meerbeeck at Mechelen. The copper lid was made by J. Van Malder for 128 francs."
