Listed and illustrated in the Kirchengemeindelexikon [https://kirchengemeindelexikon.de/einzelgemeinde/diemarden/] [accessed 30 November 2025] as a baptismal font of stone consisting of a hexagonal basin of about 1400 decorated with standing figures the sides; the base is part of the modern restoraion of 1966: "Sechseckiger Taufstein mit figürlichen Reliefs und einem gotischen Bogenfries (um 1400, 1966 restauriert und wieder in der Kirche aufgestellt. Sockel ergänzt)." Many of the standing figures on the basin sides have been defaced; one male bearded figure lods a two-barred cross; anothe figure is kneeling; one other appears to be pointing up to something on the damaged rim; at an angle is a figure standing on a serpent or dragon, perhaps St Michael, patron saint of the church; different figures wear different types of robes, some short, some all the way down covering their feet; unlike the figural sides the roundedunderbowl is pristine, undamaged, and decorated with trefoiled arch-heads in roundels. The metal cover is modern. Noted and illustrated the Kirchengeminden Diemarden [https://kirchengemeinden-diemarden-und-reinhausen.wir-e.de/st-michaelis-diemarden] [accessed 30 November 2025]
