: "1 Taufstein (Bentheimer Sandstein?), m[it] je 2 gegengleich gewundenen Tauen u[nd] 1 Arkadenreihe als Verz[ierung] aus der alten Linderner Kirche“. So lautet der erste Eintrag in das Eingangsbuch des Museumsdorfes (Bild 3), in dem alle Objekte unserer Sammlung beschrieben und datiert aufgeführt sind. Sicherlich war es kein Zufall, dass ausgerechnet ein Taufstein das erste inventarisierte Stück des „Cloppenburger Heimatmuseums“ - wie das Museumsdorf damals noch hieß – war. Ganz im Gegenteil, der erste Museumsleiter und in Personalunion Sammlungsleiter, Dr. Heinrich Ottenjann, wird sich der Symbolik bewusst gewesen sein, als er mit diesem sakralen Objekt die Sammlung „aus der Taufe hob“." Not listrd in Drake.
The baptismal font in the St-Katharina von Siena church now is a modern reconstruction/replica of the original font now in the museum. This modern replica of the original Bentheim font is illustrated in a by Ursula Essmann [https://www.google.com/search?q=lindern+kirche+germany&num=10&sca_esv=74037920de05142e&biw=1232&bih=565&sxsrf=AE3TifOGZ5Zxz_Gj4V3J2Fq6-TGvZPZ_0A%3A1764512815812&ei=L1QsaY-jMbqr0PEPptejwAc&ved=0ahUKEwjP9tm8ipqRAxW6FTQIHabrCHg4ChDh1QMIEQ&uact=5&oq=lindern+kirche+germany&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiFmxpbmRlcm4ga2lyY2hlIGdlcm1hbnkyBRAAGO8FMgUQABjvBTIFEAAY7wVIhCJQvQ1YyR1wAXgAkAEAmAHIAaABuAeqAQUxLjUuMbgBA8gBAPgBAZgCCKACwwjCAggQLhiABBiwA8ICDhAAGIAEGLADGIYDGIoFwgILEAAYgAQYsAMYogTCAggQABiwAxjvBcICCRAAGIAEGAoYDcICBhAAGA0YHsICChAAGAUYChgNGB7CAggQABgFGA0YHsICBxAjGLACGCfCAgcQLhiABBgNwgILEAAYgAQYhgMYigXCAggQABiABBiiBMICFhAuGIAEGA0YlwUY3AQY3gQY4ATYAQHCAgoQIRigARjDBBgKmAMAiAYBkAYJugYGCAEQARgUkgcFMS42LjGgB7QpsgcFMC42LjG4B7oIwgcHMi00LjMuMcgHWQ&sclient=gws-wiz-serp&lqi=ChZsaW5kZXJuIGtpcmNoZSBnZXJtYW55SJqPksj7r4CACFoeEAEQAhgAIhZsaW5kZXJuIGtpcmNoZSBnZXJtYW55kgEPY2F0aG9saWNfY2h1cmNo#rlimm=1403479052441086982&lpg=cid:CgIgAQ%3D%3D,ik:CAoSFkNJSE0wb2dLRUlDQWdJQ0g5TXlvQkE%3D] [accessed 30 November 2025] -- AND -- https://www.pano-createur.de/images/panofoto/bauwerke/kirchen/pic640plus/pr009_013_lindern_kirche_kath_03_8000.jpg [accessed 30 November 2025]
