Font Notes:
Baptismal font of stone located in an alcove or chapel at the west end of thr nave; it appears monolithic, a roughly-hemispherical basin on a squat moulded round base; the upper rim of the basin has a rope moulding with a band of beaded tape below; the sides are decorated with a blind arcade of round arches on columns with capitals and bases; moulded base. The wooden font cover is round and flat, modern; there is evidence on the upper rim of damage caused by the anchorings of an earlier cover; the whole stands on a wide circular plinth. Next to the font, on the ground, is an object of stone: sqare exterior with a round basin interior; we do not have any information on its use or purpose. There is also a stone holy-water stoup at the west end of the nave, but it looks like a later work.
