The present font in this church is modern, of ca.1900 [cf. infra]. We have no information on the font of the early-17h century church here.
A document in the church archives headed "COPIA LITERAL DE LAS "ANOTACIONES" DEL CURA D. JUAN BAUTISTA CREMADES PEIRÓ, EN UN CUADERNO MANUSCRITO QUE SE CONSERVA EN EL ARCHIVO PARROQUIAL DE ALTEA (1900-1924. La transcripción es obra de Luís Fuster Orts. IGLESIA PARROQUIAL DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL CONSUELO DE LA VILLA DE ALTEA" [https://www.alteamipueblo.es/grandes/documentos/iglesia-parroquial.pdf] [accessed 29 November 2025] records the details of the acquisition and collocation of the present baptismal font in the year 1900, including the price paid for the font and the name of the donor: "También fue adquirida una preciosa pila bautismal donada por la bienhechora Dª Catalina Thous Carrera, cuya pila fue colocada en el altar de San Juan Bta. [...] la pila bautismal 603 p[ese]tas".
