The entry for this church in the Kirchengemeinde Heilgersdorf [https://www.evangelische-kirchengemeinde-heilgersdorf.de/kirche-in-heilgersdorf/] [accessed 17 November 2025] reports an old sandstone baptismal font bearing the Lichtenstein coat of arms and decorated with angel figures; its exact age is not known; it stood in front of the church until 1960 but it is now back in use: "Der ältere Taufstein aus Sandstein mit Lichtensteiner Wappen und Engelsgestalten, dessen Alter nicht festgestellt werden kann, stand bis 1960 vor der Kirche. Er ist heute wieder in Gebrauch." The font consists of a roughly-hemispherical basin decorated with a convex ribbing pattern below a rim moulding; the middle section, which may be considered part of the underbowl or the base is also round and bears the main decoration items: the arms of the Lichenstein Family and a number of angels holding books(?); the splaying lower base section is round and decorated with convex ribbing. No cover present. The same source (cf. supra) reports also a wooden baptismal font that was made by Bernhardt-Oehrl in 1758: "Der hölzerne Taufstein [sic] wurde 1758 von Bernhardt-Oehrl um sonst angefertigt. Es ist ein verkleidetes Lattengestell."
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail 05 16 November 2025) adds: "Because it carries the coat of arms of the Lichtenstein family, it must be from around 1557."
