A baptismal font of stone located in the crypt of the C. of I. cathedral church; it consists of an octagonal basin with tapering underbowl raised on an octagonal pedestal base and lower base of the same shape; all plain except for a number of capital letters carved on the upper rim. [cf. BSI entry for Dublin No. 2: was this the font on which the metal basin claimed to be the one on which Cromwell's grand-daughter was baptised?]
