The entry for this church in the Evangelische Landgemeinde St. Christophorus [https://www.landgemeinde-quellendorf.de/verzeichnis/objekt.php?mandat=65821] [accessed 16 January 2025] reports that the present 1842 brick church houses an altar and a sandstone baptismal font both probably from the 14th century ["Die Backsteinkirche in Lausigk stammt aus dem Jahre 1842 und prägt das Ortsbild. Zu ihren besonderen Schätzen zählt der Schnitzaltar vermutlich aus dem 14. Jahrhundert und ein Taufstein aus Sandstein aus gleicher Zeit."] The entry for Lauisgk in the Gwerman Wikipedia https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lausigk_(Südliches_Anhalt)] [accessed 17 January 2025] refers to "der Liste der Kulturdenkmale in Südliches Anhalt sind für Lausigk sieben Kulturdenkmale aufgeführt", which reports a stone font in the rectory garden ["ein Taufstein im Garten des Pfarrhauses"]. [NB: the latter reference may describe the medieval font which may been relegated to the rectory garden at some point but it was returned back to the church in the 1990s [cf. ImagesArea for recent photographs of this and the modern font 'aus Styropor"]. Both the medieval stone font and the modern font made "aus Styropor" are illustrated (photos by Ute Nicklisch) in Doreen Hoyer's 5 January 2019 edition of the Mittledeutsches Zeitung [https://www.mz.de/lokal/koethen/mit-taufstein-aus-styropor-lausigker-kirche-soll-saniert-werden-altar-muss-umziehen-1516035] [accessed 17 January 2025].
