The entry for this church in the Kirchengemeindelexikon [https://kirchengemeindelexikon.de/einzelgemeinde/meinerdingen/] [accessed 15 January 2025] [accessed 15 January 2025] reports two baptismal fonts in this church: 1) a chalice-shaped octagonal font made of sandstone in the 14th or 15th century; it was disused probably when a Taufengel was introduced ca. 1729 [cf. infra] and relegated to the outside of the church [cf. ImagesArea] until it was restored to the interior and its function in 1977 -- 2) a Taufengel of 1729 replaced the older stone font until the 1880s; eventually was placed back to use inside the church in 1989 ["Taufstein aus Sandstein in Kelchform (14. oder 15.
