The entry for this church in the Pfarreiengemeinschaft Teunz-Niedermurach-Pertolzhofen [https://www.pfarrei-teunz.de/Expositur-Pertolzhofen/Wallfahrtskirche-St-Marien/] [accessed 14 January 2025] reports that the old font had been located for a long time under the gallery stairs serving as holy-water stoup, but was moved to the tower chapel and re-installed for use as baptismal font in the last renovation ["Der ebenfalls im schlichten romanischen Stil gefertigte Taufstein wurde aufgrund seiner Bedeutung restauriert und dient in Zukunft wieder als Taufbecken in der Turmkapelle"]. The old basin is roughly cylindrical in shape, with a rounded underbowl; the basin sides are decorated with blank arcade all around; raised now on a modern octagonal replacement base.
