A low pyramidal cover with an acorn finial, also painted. The German Wikipedia entry for this church
also notes and illustrates this font: "In Gebrauch ist ein achteckiger Taufstein, eine Steinsäule mit leicht nach außen geweiteten Wasserbecken, bezeichnet mit der Jahreszahl 1699 und geschmückt mit reliefartigen Engelsköpfen. Er steht in der Mitte vor dem Chor"; it gives "Schrenk/Zink, S. 227; Somplatzki, Streifzug, S. 11, 21" as reference.
