Scene Description: "Kirken har værdifulde romanske Kalkmalerier fra Tiden 1150—1200 [...] Malerier findes først og fremmest paa Korbuens Underside og paa den mod Skibet vendende Side af Korbuemuren, medens det kun er lykkedes at fremdrage mindre Rester af den oprindelige Udsmykning i Apsis og paa Korets Vægge. Under Korbuens Top er et Rundfelt med et tildels nymalet Brystbillede af en Engel og paa hver Side heraf en Helgenbisp, staaende paa en Konsol med Akantusblade; de er iført Pallium og bærer Bøger, men ingen af dem har Stav eller Hue [...]" [source: Danmarks Kirker]

Listed and illustrated in Danmarks Kirker [http://danmarkskirker.natmus.dk/uploads/tx_tcchurchsearch/Soroe_0324-0340.pdf] [accessed 2 December 2024] as a Romanesque font made of granite and consisting of two parts, basin and base; centre drain hole; font altered by additional volume in modern cement to the lower base; the DK entry also lists and illustrates the decorated base of one of the columns of the pulpit [cf.
