Listed and illustrated in Mackeprang (1941) as a baptismal font made of coarse granite presumably by the same workshop as those at Dover and Røgen; the sides of the basin are decorated with a pair of lion bodies sharing a single human head; near or on the lion bodies are two birds in different positions; the round-to-square lower base has on its sides 1) a semi-recumbent lion regardant near which are a cross, a palm tree and a four-leaf clover; 2) lion with foliated tail; 3) dragon with forked tongue and foliated tail; 4) fabulous monster, perhaps a basilisk; each upper corner of the base has a mask on it. Listed and illustrated in Danmarks Kirker [http://danmarkskirker.natmus.dk/uploads/tx_tcchurchsearch/Aarhus_3625-3654_01.pdf] [accessed 28 November 2024] which notes that the font has been moved several times within the church.
