A medieval baptismal font of cylindrical shape laid disused in the gardens of the Château Emmaburg / Château Eyneburg, in Hergenrath (La Calamine); the font has a double-rope moulding below the upper rim and a row of blihd shallow-carved arches all around the basin sides; the presence of a drain hole on the outer side of the basin suggest it was being used as a planter in the castle gardens; it is listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10096341] [accessed 20 September 2024]: "fonts baptismaux cylindriques dans les jardins Château Emmaburg [...] Date: 1201 - 1300" [NB: we have no conformation of the present (2024) location of the medieval font].. A baptismal font of the mid-19th century in this church is is listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10096247] [accessed 20 September 2024]: "fonts baptismaux [...] Date: 1850 (ca) - 1850 (ca) [...] marbre et couvercle en laiton [...] hauteur: 135 cm".
