Baptismal font noted in Hallbäck (1965). Illustrated by Ragnar Blomqvist in the Kulturmiljöbild, Riksantikvarieämbetet [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Silbodals_kyrka_-_KMB_-_16000200147676.jpg] [accessed 13 September 2024]: "Dopfunt, av täljsten, från 1100- eller 1200-talet, med dopfuntslock av ek" [NB: cf. SHM below for type of wood: pine, not oak]. Listed and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 930715F5] as a baptismal font of the Dalslandsgruppen made of soapstone in the 13th century; damaged at the upper rim; decorated with some mouldings and saw-tooth motifs. Conical wooden (pine) cover with tall knob finial/handle [cf. supra]. A medieval font in the modern church is reported in the Svenska kyrkan entry for this church [https://www.svenskakyrkan.se/nordmarkenspastorat/silbodals-forsamling] [accesse 13 September 2024]: "Dopfunten, som är en av kyrkans äldsta föremål, är sannolikt från tidig medeltid."
