Described and illustrated in the Katholische Kirchengemeinde St. Petronilla in Münster [https://web.archive.org/web/20130719150306/http:/www.st-petronilla.de/unsere-gemeinde/st-petronilla-kirche/der-taufstein.html] [accessed 21 August 2024]: baptismal font probably of the second quarter of the 13th century, when the church became parochial and acquired baptisma nd burial rights; it is made of Baumberg sandstone, cylindrical and tapering toward the base from a foliage frieze, perhaps acanthus leaves, at the top; there are similar fonts in nearby Albachten and Angelmodde, the latter in the state museum. The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Petronilla_(Handorf)] [accessed 21 August 2024] mentions a 13th-century Romanesque font made of Baumberg sandstone in this church; it is cylindrical and missing its original base: "Der älteste Ausstattungsgegenstand ist ein romanischer Taufstein, der vermutlich im 13. Jahrhundert gefertigt wurde. Das zylindrisch geformte Taufbecken ist aus Baumberger Sandstein gefertigt. Der vermutlich ursprünglich vorhandene Sockel fehlt."
