Baptismal font listed and illustrated in López de Guereñu [https://photo.araba.eus/s/photoaraba/item/66098] [accessed 9 August 2024]: "Pila bautismal de la iglesia de la Santísima Trinidad de Urturi. pila medieval. La taza no presenta decoración, la base es cuadrada y el pie presenta bandas incisas verticales y cuatro rostros en los vértices superiores"; an additional photograph in the same source is captioned: "Detalle del pie de la pila bautismal; está decorado con bandas incisas verticales y muestra cuatro rostros en los vértices superiores". Described in Bilbao (1994: 133) as a medieval baptismal font; plain basin raised on a base ornamented with four human faces at the upper angles, and vertical incisions throughout. Bilbao (ibid.) cites an entry in the Catálogo Monumental de la Diócesis de Vitoria (vol. II: 337). The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/alava_URTURI.pdf] [accessed 3 August 2024] includes a quote from the Catálogo Monumental de la Diócesis de Vitoria (1967-2017), in which the old font was described as consisting of a plain basin raised on a square pedestal base with vertical bands of carving on the sides, and four faces at the corners ["con la copa lisa, la base cuadrada y el pie con bandas incisas verticales y cuatro rostros en los vértices". The Enciclopedia... The Enciclopedia... (ibid.) further adds that the old basin is no longer in the church: "La copa medieval de la primitiva pila bautismal no se encuentra en el templo", and adds that a later baptismal font has replaced the old one: "Hoy la copa y el pie han sido sustituidos por otros que se apoyan en la base cuadrada, realizado todo ello con posterioridad."
