Font Notes:
The font appears to consist of a tub-shaped basin that is polygonal at the upper opening and round and narrower at the underbowl, the sides totally plain; the base has a short round stem followed down by a roll moulding below which it becomes square with spurs at the angles. The design probably matches the church modification of the the late-Gothic period (15th / 16th centuries) rather than the 12th-century original building. There is a crude wooden cover visible in López de Guereñu's photograph noted above, unless it is just a wooden plank supporting the object place on the font. [NB: we do not have information related to what appears to be a crude stone basin used as planter in the village].
