Noted in Frans Kugler's, Kleine Schriften und Studien zur Kunstgeschichte, (Volume 1, 1854, page 254) as a simple Gothic baptismal font made of Nieder-Mendiger stone ["Ein einfach hübscher gotischer Taufstein aus Nieder-Mendiger Stein"]. Listed in Glesius (2013) as a late-Medieval font.
