The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/alava_ARRIOLA.pdf] [accessed 19 June 2024] informs that the church is documented in the 13th-century but mentions no font in it. [NB: we have no information on the font of the medieval church here]. The present baptismal font is modern, a roughly hemispherical basin with a polygonal upper rim on a round pedestal base, all of reddish-veined marble. The rim-buffet type font cover is tall, about twice the height of the font itself, with doors opening at the front for access to the interior.
