The German Wikipedia entry for this church [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Laurentius_(Dedesdorf)] [accessed 25 May 2024] mentions a chalice-shaped baptismal font of the early-14th century; roughly hemispherical absin decorated with a vine, raised on a pedestal base ["Taufstein in Kelchform aus der erster Hälfte 14. Jh., gerundete Kuppa mit Rankenfries, Fuß mit Nodus und polygonalem Schaft"].
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 22 May 2024) notes: "My opinion is that the round basin (still) has Romanesque features. The decoration reminds me of some of the Romanesque Bentheimer baptismal fonts. Maybe it is a late example of these fonts? The octagonal foot is gothic, and seems later. Probably this is a composite font?"
