Font Notes:
A baptismal font or stoup of the Mosan style appears in an illustration of the interior of the Hôpital des Grands Malades in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10138399] [accessed 29 April 2024]; the dating given in this source "Date: 1501 (incertain) - 1600 (incertain)" is for the place itself, and makes no reference to the font/stoup [NB: the font shown inside the hospital chapel in 1942 may be originally from the hermitage chapel]. A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 5 March 2024) notes: "In annex, you will find a description of the Ermitage de Saint-Hubert at Beez (Belgium) that had a Mosan type, gothic baptismal font, used as stoop. I join a picture and a drawing of this font. The building was demolished in 1880." [NB: the attached text appears to be from an unsigned and undated doc that contains the following reference to this hermitage: L'ermitage de Saint-Hubert était constitué du binôme classique habitation-chapelle [...] A l'intérieur, le sol était dallé de pierre bleu et de dalles funéraires. Des fonts baptismaux datés sans doute du XVe s se trouvaient à gauche de la petite porte d'entrée."
