Baptismal font noted and illustrated in Bourgogne romane [http://www.bourgogneromane.com/edifices/stmartindecroix.htm] [accessed 24 April 2024]: "fonts baptismaux [...] 11e ou 12e siècle". The font consists of a basin that is square at the top but the sides have been cut in a chamfer that leaves the corner areas reduced and a human (?) head on the lower side; the lower end of the basin is thus octagonal; on a n octagonal-to-square pedstal base. No cover present but one of the upper rim areas shows damage likely caused by an metal anchoring for a cover. [NB: the 11th-century dating assigned may be too early for this piece, unless it was re-cut/re-carved]
