The entry for this church in the Austrian Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pfarrkirche_Gottestal] [accessed 22 April 2024] mentions an octagonal Gothic font here bearing a maker's mark; its font cover has a bird finial ["Der achteckige, gotische Taufstein ist mit einem Meisterzeichen versehen; den Deckel ziert eine Taube"]. Octagonal pyramidal font cover [painted wood?] with bird [dove?] finial; hinged door for access. Ulrike Debriacher [https://www.kath-kirche-kaernten.at/pfarren/detail/C3149/taufstein] [accessed 22 April 2024] informs that the font underwent restoration, and was brought back to the church on 15 April 2022 [cf. ImagesArea]
