Baptismal font probably of the 16th century listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10028459] [accessed 17 April 2024]: "fonts baptismaux [...] Eglise Saint-Pierre[Melreux] [...] Date: 1501 (incertain) - 1600 (incertain) [...] hauteur: 30 cm [...] le couvercle crucifère en métal est de fabrication plus récente"; this object appears to be square and plain, and built into an alcove or recess of a wall; the font cover on it is dome-shaped and has a Crucifix finial; no firm date is given for either the basin or the cover. [NB: the font cover shown on this font above, is the same that is now being used on the earlier font of this church [cf. BAI entry for Melreux No. 1]
