The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evangelische_Kirche_Nentershausen] [accessed 29 March 2024] mentions that the baptismal font was destroyed in 1605/1606 by langrave Moritz ["Landgraf Moritz ließ zwischen 1605 und 1606 aus allen Kirchen im calvinistischen Niederhessen Bildnisse, Kruzifixe, Taufbecken und anderes entfernen und zerstören"]; it further notes that a reliquary bowl has housed the baptismal font since 1979 ["Die Reliquienschale nimmt seit 1979 das Taufbecken auf"] [NB: this object is probably the vessel that is seen on the north side of the altar table [cf. ImagesArea]
