A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 16 November 2023) provides informative notes on the development of the church here from a chapel to acquiring patochial functions, and adds: "In 1879 the old chapel was demolished and a new church was built in 1881. This was done according to a design of I. Gérard. The new church was located on the same site but moved slightly more towards the west. The neo-Gothic building is a hall church. The church furniture is neo-Gothic. The Mosan limestone baptismal font bears the inscription 1622. As in so many “quarta cappelas”, it was originally a stoop, which was promoted to baptismal font when the parish became independent." The e-mail contains also a digital image of the re-purposed holy-water stoup [Europeana.eu-2058628-KF_objecten_ ... 2865131ed04f7df641ad67bfebde2.png].
