Scene Description: Source caption: "Der Taufbrunnen besteht aus Sandstein und wurde diagonal zum Ambo aufgestellt. Er stammt aus der ersten Harener Pfarrkirche von ca. 1379 und ist das älteste Kunstwerk unserer Kirche. Er entstand bereits um 1200. Dieses spätromanische Taufbecken gehört zur Stilrichtung des Bentheimer Typs. Aus Anlass des 100-jährigen Kirchweihjubiläums im Jahre 2011 erhielt der Taufbrunnen einen neuen Deckel, der vom Künstler Paul Brandenburg bewusst aus modernem Material gestaltet wurde."
