The German Wikipedia entry for this church [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alte_Kirche_(Pellworm)] [accessed 8 March 2024] mentions a baptismal font cast in bronze by Hinrich Klinghe in 1475 that was originally destined for Buphever church, but that building was washed away in the 1634 flood and was taken to Pellworm instead; the basin is decorated with an arcade that houses both the Baptism and the Crucifixion of Christ, Christ in Majesty, a crowned Madonna and Child, as well as many other figures; there are two running inscriptions around the upper and lower sides of the basin [transcription not available]; the basin is supported on four standing clerics set at 90-degree angles, each holding a book. The buffet-type octagonal font cover bears a painted German inscription [Mark 16:16] and is suspended from the ceiling by a pulley system.
