A resident of Burdinne was intrigued by a fragment of limestone decorated with a Green Man and mounted on the brick wall of a house in the village, and who some has suggested that it might be a fragment of the baptismal font of the old church: "une pierre insérée dans le mur d'une habitation du village. On me dit qu'il pourrait s'agir d'un reste d'anciens fonts baptismaux provenant de l'ancienne église du village." The fragment displays the head of the figure usually known as a Green Man; the vegetation that issues from its mouth -or it bites?- has fruit attached.
HMS (BS) commented that more context is needed to give a firm opinion on the piece, but it could more likely be a fragment of a capital instead, and later than the 13thC.
