An entry for this church in Waymarking [https://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/wm110V7_Eglise_Notre_Dame_de_lAssomption_Ny_Lux_Belgium] [accessed 16 February 2024] mentions a re-cycled human head built into the south wall ["Remploi à la base du mur sud d’un culot grossier à tête humaine, daté de 1557"]. A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 8 October 2023) informs: "Above the door of a house along the rue du Douyet at Ny (Belgium), a head of a Romanesque baptismal font is inserted into the outer wall. It is said to be 12th century"; he quotes Genicot (1979) as source, and includes a note to him by J-C. And P-H adds: "As you can read, Jean-Claude Ghislain thinks it is 13th century. The church Notre-Dame de l’Assomption of Ny is within 100 meters of this house [...] present modern Mosan-type font in the church [...] The church Notre-Dame de l’Assomption of Ny is within 100 meters of this house."
