Two baptismal fonts are reported and illustrated in dignois.fr [http://dignois.fr/La-Martre-paroisse/] [accessed 13 February 2024], but one appears to be a holy-water stoup [cf. BSI entry for Martre No. 2]. The font itself is monolithic of rounded irregular/oval shape, all plain, and rests directly on the ground. The flat and plain wooden cover is modern.
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 3 October 2023) suggests that the font in this church may have come originally from the "ancienne église Saint-Blaise" [later a chapel]: "This church was built in the 17th century, after the destruction of the castle and the village of Castrum de la Martre. It replaced the chapel Saint-Blaise after the population had left the original village of La Martre [...] I would not be surprised if the primitive baptismal font in the church originally came from the chapelle Saint-Blaise."
