The baptismal font in this church is noted and illustrated in Trippstadt Luftkurort [https://www.trippstadt.de/entdecken/katholische-kirche-st-josef.html] [accessed 7 February 2024] as a stone font from ca. 1500 that was brought to Trippstadt from St. Blasius in Aschbach in 1845; it stood in the parish garden here until 1993 when it brought into the church, at the back ["Ein Taufstein aus der Zeit um 1500, er stammt aus der Mutterkirche St.Blasius zu Aschbach, ist ein wertvoller Besitz der katholischen Kirchengemeinde. The entry for this church in the Pfarrei Maria Schutz, Kaiserlautern [https://www.kirchen-in-kl.de/kirchen/katholische-pfarreien/pfarrei-maria-schutz/wir/gemeinden/st-josef-trippstadt-1-1-1/] [accessed 7 Fabruary 2024], howver, writes about the font being 'returned' to Trippstadt in 1993 ["Als Relikt aus der alten Kirche existiert noch ein Taufstein, der 1993 wieder in der Pfarrkirche in Trippstadt aufgestellt wurde und so wieder seine Funktion als Taufstein erhalten hat."] The font consists of an octagonal basin of stone [sandstone?], the sides of which are decorated with Gothic tracery patterns, and a modern replacement base. The font cover is also modern.
