Font Notes:
There are two fonts in this church: a stone font [noted in at least one source as a holy-water stoup ["bénitier"] the object was likely a baptismal font, regardless of its present use; it consists of three blocks that may not have belonged together originally; the plain basin is tub-shaped and crudely rendered; it is raised on a quadrangular block that is wider at the botom than at the top, while the lower base is still wider but octagonal; it is located in the chancel, to the south side of the altar, and has no cover on it. The second font is illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP8915T000834] [https://www.pop.culture.gouv.fr/notice/memoire/AP8915T000834] [accessed 3 February 2024], but not listed; the font consists of a busily decorated hexagonal basin raised on columnar pedestal base of four clustered fluted colonnettes with capitals and bases, and a hexagonal lower base. Its wooden font cover is also hexagonal and has a large finial scene of the Baptism of Christ with six seated angels below; both font and cover are painted and gilded, and are probably 18th-century work [therefore outside the scope of this Index].
