The entry for this church in the Inventaris Onroerend Erfgoed [https://inventaris.onroerenderfgoed.be/erfgoedobjecten/15459] [accessed 2 February 2024] reports only a baptismal font of 1834 in it ["doopvont (1834)". An item listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/65477] [accessed 2 February 2024] as a baptismal font ["doopvont"] dated 1662 and located at the west end of the south aisle is likely a holy-water stoup instead; it is described as made of limestone, 112 cm tall, and bearing the inscription: "ANNO 1662 MARIA ANNA QUESAU OBIIT" around the upper surface of the basin rim
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 1 September 2023) referes to two other sources: “L’épitaphier Wasien” by le chevalier de Schouteete de Tervarent (1876), and “Historisch Stekene”, by Heemkring d’Euzie (undated), that refer to the object as "un bénitier en grès" [NB: sandstone is not common in fonts and stoups of this region; if the vessel was locally sourced the material is more likely to be limestone].
